Dysart was one of the few communities to continue the 4th of July festivities this year. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, many communities decided to err on the side of caution rather than celebrate the Independence Day holiday.

The annual parade kicked off at 10:30 a.m. with residents anxiously awaiting the event. The area veterans kicked off the celebration carrying the red, white and blue and leading the parade. Area businesses participated as well as farmers on their tractors. Absent were any bands this year.

The community came out to enjoy the parade and mark the Independence Day holiday.
