News : Area Kiwanis Club gives back to area children

Several area children received gifts from the Kiwanis Division of Santa's Workshop

The Vinton Kiwanis Club, and Santa wowed a group of area children on Tuesday.

Following lunch at Pizza Ranch, the group, er, Santa handed out gifts to several area children. Lighting up the faces of little boys with remote-controlled cars, and little girls with dolls and makeup kits, the group, brought many smiles and laughter to the children.

The group works behind the scenes of the community participating in several events to raise money so that they can turn around and hold events like this.
