Serving the last 27 years in the Benton County Treasurer's Office, Michele Sauer was the natural selection by the Benton County Board of Supervisors to fulfill the remaining time left in Kelly Geater's term.
Sworn in with her husband and mother present, Sauer officially became the Benton County Treasurer on Tuesday. Sauer steps up leaving her former position as the Deputy Treasurer for Benton County.
Melinda Schoettmer now serves as the Deputy Treasurer and has been serving in the Treasurer's Office for the last 22 years. She was also appointed to this position and was sworn in on Tuesday.
Swearing in the new positions was Benton County Magistrate Judge Kevin Ahrenholz.
