News : Police Chief and officers Challenge at Tilford Elementary

Vinton Police and the Benton County Sheriff officers spent time with children at Tilford Elementary

The gym was full of children yesterday in anticipation of some fun with the Police Chief and some of the fellow officers.

Following their meal at Tilford Elementary, the group gathered in the gym where they divided up into three teams. The officers competed in foot races, skipping, running backward and coordinating relay races with the kids.

Also available were several floor games that the children could play with the officers.

The event was another example of our officers going above and beyond their job to build relationships with the area children.
