The Vinton Community Band played at Fross Park in Center Point on July 13th  preceding the Parks/Recreation Department's free movie.

Director Judy Trygstad led the band in pieces of music from “Music Man,â€� “Oklahoma,â€� “Indiana Jones,â€� and other movies. The concert was sponsored by the Center Point Historical Society.

The Society’s next event is a Laura Ingalls Wilder “Little Houseâ€� themed log cabin festival which will be held Sunday afternoon, August 18th at the Depot Museum/Strait Log Cabin Site located at 700 E. Washington in Center Point.
