News : Party in the Park Parade delayed until Vinton's Sesquicentennial Parade

During this year's Party in the Park, we will break from tradition a bit.

On Saturday night we will not be holding a parade this year. Vinton Parks and Recreation Department will be helping to co-sponsor the Vinton Unlimited Sesquicentennial in August.

For our 150th Birthday, we thought Vinton deserves ONE BIG GIGANTIC PARADE!

During our normal parade time, please feel free to come to Riverside Park as we will be celebrating the GRAND OPENING of the Riverside Park Playground and Natural Playscape.

Also, we will be burying a time capsule to be opened at Party in the Park 2044. Stop down and drop a Vinton Parks and Recreation Department trinket in the capsule. It could be an old program, T-Shirt, Activity guide, etc. or, write yourself a letter that you can read when we unearth the capsule in 25 years.
