News : Pool to Delay Opening until June 3

Due to extremely harsh winter weather, deep ground freeze and unseasonably cool spring temperatures, upon filling of the swimming pool for opening this season we have encountered some critical failures of vital pool parts that will force us to delay the opening of the 2019 pool season. We are currently targeting, Monday, June 3rd 2019 as our new opening day.

Everyone at VPRD, the City of Vinton, our Council, Park Board and others are working as diligently to solve these issues to get our pool open in as timely a fashion as we can. We will continue to pass on information as we receive it in an effort to be as transparent as we possibly can be.
