This past Saturday I had the opportunity to pop into the Wesley United Methodist Church Food Pantry (next to the library). The food pantry operates on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
This week they served 64 families/158 individuals. As many area residents filed through it was clear that the needs in our community are being met by the many volunteers at WUMC.
Food given out included, meat, cereal, fruit, vegetables, spices, cheese, milk, ice cream, canned goods, breads and pastries and many other items that I'm sure that I failed to see.
The items that they are attempting to collect for the next couple months are listed below.
If you would like to donate please take the following items to the church and they will store them for the next give away.
March - Helping Hands....Hamburger Helper
April - Showers of Blessings....Body Wash
