News : Downpour causes Temporary Street Closures

If you were out and about town today around 1:00 p.m., you know that roads were just about impassable due to the heavy rainfall we received. From 218, through to the downtown area, roads were flooded due to the downpour. The Vinton street department was quick to block off dangerous roads, and the area police, sheriff and state patrol assisted in the efforts.   Thanks again to our city street department, and area officers for your efforts!
