News : Accident results in injuries north of Shellsburg

A pick-up pulling a cattle trailer collided with an SUV at the intersection of 33rd Avenue and 61st Street Lane (the Oak Grove Church corner) on Tuesday evenining. The Iowa State Patrol, Benton County Sheriff's Office, Center Point Ambulance and Shellsburg Fire Department responded to the scene. The truck and trailer, with some cattle inside, went down a deep ditch after the impact. The car came to rest near the church sidewalk. The ISP will handle the accident investigation and report. More information will be available tomorrow.
