News : VS Alumni Career Connection Project begins

Submitted by Eric Upmeyer Dear Vinton, Shellsburg and Garrison Area Graduates: We are launching a new project called V-S Alumni Career Connection Project. We wish to connect with our past graduates and alumni to celebrate your accomplishments and to gather your career information to benefit our current students. It is our hope that by learning from your experiences, our students will be inspired and better prepared to take on new challenges within their high school career and beyond by connecting with someone in a career field of interest. The V-S Alumni Career Connection Project will include student-conducted interviews of alumni to be compiled and shared, with permission, on the Vinton-Shellsburg website. We envision this project to extend beyond the classroom and serve as a community wide networking and contact site. (*Please note that this project is not to coordinate class reunions.) Personal information will remain private. We would only share/publish your name, post-secondary education information, your current residence city and state and current career position. Students will be provided only the contact information necessary to conduct the interview. If you would be willing to connect with our students, this is the place to go!
