News : Kiwanis Install New Officers

The Kiwanis Club of Vinton, met on Tuesday at LaReyna where they had their weekly meeting. At this meeting they installed their new president Tom Husnik. Husnik was preceded by Past President Christine Kelchen. Also joining the officers were Michele Schoonover as Secretary, Tom Lindauer as Treasurer, Board Members Denny Gardemann, Elise Healzer, and Dean Studer. The group was joined by the Kiwanis Division 9 Lieutenant Governor, Cathy Baruth. The Vinton Kiwanis Club meets every Tuesday at noon at area restaurants. Kiwanis is in several area events including the Pancake Day, Easter egg hunt, Bike Rodeo, Party in the Park kids parade and the regular parade, Boomtown 5K race, dictionary donation for the Vinton-Shellsburg third grade. As well as installing officers they recognized Dave Vermadahl, for being a 40 year member of the Kiwanis. Also recognized for 25 years of service was the secretary Michele Schoonover and Jim Morrison. To view pics
