News : AREA HOST FAMILIES NEEDED FOR TWO PAX FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS

The woman who helps find homes for exchange students in eastern Iowa says the PAX organization is seeking families in the Vinton-Shellsburg, Benton Community or Center Point-Urbana areas for two girls. Chris Giles, who is a coordinator for PAX (Program of Academic Exchange) in Iowa, says the deadline for one of the students is July 31. Here is a bit of information about each of the two girls: Martina, from Spain, is interested in painting, dance, guitar playing, movies, as well as kickboxing, badminton and aerobics. She is the daughter of an advertising director and a designer. She has one sister. Rachnicha, from Thailand, is interested in swimming, art and painting. She speaks English and her mom runs an online business. Martina’s deadline is July 31, says Giles.
