The Vinton-Shellsburg Class of 1996 and the family of Monica Huelman Zaruba, announce how the funds raised under the Monica Zaruba Memorial will be used in Vinton community.
In April, The Class of 1996, along with Frazier's Nursery, will use funds to donate trees and a bench in Monica's memory to the Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School (the Class of 1996's Graduating High School).
Monica's parents, Ken and Regina Huelman, wish for the remaining Memorial Funds to be distributed among local organizations. Monica had many passions and they want to honor those through this memorial.
The Class of 1996 and the family of Monica Huelman Zaruba, hope these organizations can find ways to use the donations to carry on Monica's legacy:
Friends of the Shelter
Vinton Public Library
Vinton Parks & Recreation Department
VS Girls Basketball Program
Benton County Food Pantry
