News : Rural Vinton woman dies in farm accident

Suzanne Hollenbeck, 71, died in a farm accident in rural Vinton Monday morning March 5. Benton County Sheriff's Office personnel and the North Benton Ambulance service were dispatched around 8: 30 a.m., to the 2600 block of 55th Street Drive. They arrived to find that while working on the family farm, Hollenback had been backed into by a skid loader. She was pronounced dead at the scene by a Benton County Medical Examiner. Hollenbeck, in addition to helping with the family farm, was a retired Vinton-Shellsburg teacher.
