A woman was taken to a hospital by air ambulance after her small SUV collided with a dump truck on V61 east of Garrison shortly before noon on Monday.

The crash injured the driver and causing extensive damage to the front of the SUV.

The Garrison Fire Department and First Responders, as well as the Benton County Rescue Unit responded to the scene. Rescue workers removed the woman from the SUV and gave her medical care as they waited for the helicopter to arrive.
