Along with the serious damage from the tornado that hit Vinton on July 17, there were some other unique effects left behind by the 130 mph winds.
At the Marvin Lindsey baseball complex, the storm destroyed a small storage shed, as well as parts of the fences of three fields, as well as a batting cage and the protective netting behind home plate on the large field.
Also, the wind hurled this baseball so forcefully that it became stuck half-way through a chain-link fence.
