News : Fields of Faith set for Wednesday at Union football field

The annual Fields of Faith event at Union High School will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 5, and members of the Vinton-Shellsburg and Center Point-Urbana Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be among the hundreds of students from several schools around eastern Iowa joining the Union students gathering to sing, pray and hear testimonies of faith from their peers and other athletes. The invited speaker is former Oklahoma State football player David Thompson. Several students will also share testimonies or favorite Bible verses. The event begins at 7 p.m. on the Union football field in La Porte City, or in the gym in case of bad weather. See the Fields of Faith web site HERE.
