The Vinton Fire Department is conducting a fund-raiser to purchase new air packs as well as refurbish ones now in use. The department hopes to raise $35,000. All donors of $40 or more will receive a free 8 x 10 family photo, which will be taken at the fire station on or around Nov. 15. Donations can be mailed to the Vinton Fire Dept., Box 640, Vinton, IA 52349.
