Mike and Joyce Svoboda plan to close The Hope Chest antique store on 4th Street in October, but the couple plans to continue selling antiques as well as their other products, on-line.

An "everything must go sale is under way," with all items in the store now marked town 25 percent. On Saturday that discount increases to 35 percent, and will go up every week until the store closes, says Mike.

The couple has posted the following message on their business Facebook page:

With mixed emotions we are announcing that we will be closing the Hope Chest storefront this October. We will continue to offer special products and finds via our Website which is in development now and through our ebay store. We will also be introducing the world to our very own Vinton Canning Company Salsas and 4 Sisters Wine Slush through Amazon.com.

We have had a lot of fun the past 6 1/2 years finding treasures and trying to always bring something new to town. Unfortunately financially it just isn't feasible to maintain a storefront location any longer. Our family has expanded to 4 grandchildren during the last 5 years and we want the freedom to spend as much times as possible as they grow so quickly. We never anticipated the span of states and yes countries that would visit The Hope Chest or the friendships that have been made in these past years.

We appreciate your business and support and hope you will continue to support The Hope Chest online.
We anticipate having 2-3 events a year as we just cant stop picking and hunting for treasures. As difficult as this is, it is exciting as well, the adventure continues........

Stay tuned to our facebook page for updates and of course continue to visit us as we will be bringing more treasures in and offering special deals until the store front location closes on October 15nd 2016.

Thank you so much for your patronage and friendship,

-Joyce and Mike Svoboda
