News : Pet bracelets to raise money for Animal Shelter

Bracelets like this one worn by Regina Malaska will soon be sold to help the Vinton Animal Shelter.

Vinton Animal Shelter activist Regina Malaska was one of several Friends of The Shelter, Inc. (FOTSI) members who participated in the Boomfest event Saturday afternoon.

Several FOTSI members spent a few hours downtown with a few dogs and cats, speaking to people about the need for adoption.

Malaska has been making, and FOTSI members will soon begin selling, homemade pet bracelets. Made from beads and buttons, the bracelets will include a variety of styles and wording.

Look for these bracelets in the near future, said Malaska.
