Virginia Gay Hospital will host an open house from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, September 18th to showcase the culmination of the hospital’s recent $8.5 million dollar expansion project.  Hospital staff will provide guided tours of the newly expanded Emergency Room, Acute Care, Therapy Services, and Imaging Services departments. 

The project is a continuation of the legacy established by Virginia Gay in 1914.  Funded by generous donations from members of the community, the Virginia Gay Hospital Foundation, and the professional management of the hospital’s operations, the expansion and renovation project takes medicine in Vinton far beyond anything Harvey or Virginia Gay could ever have imagined. 

The hospital’s expansion will be showcased during the week of September 13th as part of KCRG-TV’s “Our Town Vinton” series.  Please join the staff at Virginia Gay Hospital for refreshments to celebrate this fantastic community asset from 9 am to Noon on Saturday, September 18th.
