The North Eden Willing Workers 4H Club installed new officers as follows at their November meeting:

· Treasurer: Samantha Walton
· Reporter: Sarah Kreutner
· Historians: Kate Hyland, Jenna Pattee and Zena Aragon
· Photographers: Lydia Radeke and Weston Bierschenk
· Recreation Officers: Jesse Pladsen and Bryce Radeke
· Birthday Officers: Ashlie Meyer and Morgan Lang
The club also welcomed several new members at the first meeting of the 4H year, held the evening of November 1st. During the Program, Caroline and Morgan Lang, Katie Murdock and Zena Aragon gave presentations. Caroline played her harp, Morgan showed how to eat a pomegranate, Katie taught the club to protect the environment by folding plastic bags, and Zena demonstrated an interesting wax art technique.Members enjoyed a relay race and created Christmas ornaments. The Langs, Kaisers and Geaters brought delicious snacks. 35 of the 43 members attended. Jonathon Kreutner, President, presided.
The following Sunday, November 8th, the club met at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church cemetery in Vinton for a community service project. After cleaning at the cemetery, the club went to the Vinton Legion post and tidied the parking lot. Then members pulled weeds at St. Mary’s playground. 25 members were present. This activity was organized by club leader Mrs. Tressa Walton. The club also enjoyed a county 4H Rollerskating Party at the Vinton Skate Center the same afternoon. Twenty members attended the party.
Our final That’s My Pan fundraiser order is due December 1st. Members, don’t forget to get your Christmas orders in! If members of the public are interested in ordering, they may contact a club member or leader. The county deadline for 4H enrollment is also the first of December. Our next meeting will be Sunday, December 6, at 5:00 p.m. Tucker Clark, Lydia Radeke, Samantha Walton, Sarah Kreutner, Anna Becker, and Kate Hyland are scheduled to give presentations. The Clarks, Aragons and Hantzs are responsible for snacks. The club is planning to carol at the Vinton Lutheran Home on the afternoon of Friday, December 11th. We also hope to have a holiday sledding party, date TBA, if weather permits.
