On Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th the Boy Scouts from Troop 47 and the Cub Scouts from Pack 47 went door to door in Vinton placing bags on residents’ doors. This was for their annual service project to collect canned goods and other non- perishable items for the Benton County Food Bank. The scouts, their parents and leaders will be back to these same residents on Saturday morning, October 24th beginning at 9:00 am to collect the bags that the residents have generously filled with canned goods. Once they have collected the filled bags they will take them to the food bank. The food will then be distributed to the needy in Benton County. All food collected will stay in Benton County.

The scouts would like to thank you in advance for your generous donations to help the needy.

This is one of the biggest source of food for the local pantry; residents are encouraged to share.
