Passers-by can see the process, but not the results, as workers began placing joists to support the roof above the prison area of the new Benton County Law Enforcement Center.
The long joists were hoisted over the walls by a crane, then disappeared behind the concrete and brick, where they were fastened by workers who were also invisible from the ground.
More concrete was poured and many more blocks put in place this week as the shape of the new building becomes more visible.
