Mount Auburn residents are invited to help leaders there prepare for the RAGBRAI ride-through next Thursday, July 23.

Below is the schedule:

Sunday, July 19: Beautification Day. Anyone wishing to help will be meeting on Main St at 2 p.m. for weeding, painting, sweeping and cleaning up the streets.

Monday July 20: Volunteers will be needed to haul supplies into the Legion-time TBA. If you would like to help please call 475-2263 and they will let you know what time.

Tuesday July 21: Volunteers will be at the Legion Hall beginning at 8 a.m. They will be cleaning fruits and vegetables, prepping foods and making pasta salads, etc.

Wednesday July 22: Beginning at 8am, volunteers will be on Main St., setting up booths, street signs, trash cans, photo ops, water station, lawn chairs, shade structures, picnic tables, etc.

Thursday July 23: Ragbrai comes to town. At 5:30 a.m., volunteers will be putting signs up on D-65. At 6 a.m., food booths and games in the will be set up. By 7 a.m. the food booth will be up and running; the first shift in booth starts at 7. At 3 p.m. crews begin to shut everything down and begin tearing down and cleaning up.

Organizers are hoping for lots of volunteers to assist in these 4 days and for a great turnout.
