The City of Vinton is accepting bids for the single-phase generator and engine that was located at the Stony Arch Lift Station on East 13th Street.
The generator was damaged in the flood of 2008 and does not operate. The engine does appear to operate.
The equipment can be viewed at the Water Pollution Control Facility located at 6026 25th Avenue Drive from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
Bids must be sealed and marked “Stony Arch Gen Set Bid.” The sealed bid can be hand-delivered to Vinton City Hall, 110 West 3rd Street, Vinton, IA 52349; or mailed to City Coordinator, City of Vinton, PO Box 529, Vinton, IA 52349.
Bid deadline is Friday, September 17, 2010 at 2 PM. The City of Vinton reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Successful bidder is responsible for pick-up and delivery.
