News : Vinton-Shellsburg enrollment figures

Next month, the Vinton-Shellsburg School district will present official enrollment numbers to the Iowa Department of Education.

So far, district administrators have counted a total of 1,708 students .

There are 527 high school students, 386 middle school students and 795 elementary students.

At V-SHS there are 115 freshmen, 137 sophomores, 129 juniors and 146 seniors. (The senior class is the largest of all V-S grade levels.)

At VSMS, there are 137 in 6th grade, 138 in 7th and 111 in 8th grade.

Below are the enrollment numbers, number of classes and class sizes for Shellsburg and Tilford:
