The annual Vinton Women's Club reception for Vinton-Shellsburg teachers took place Wednesday afternoon at the historic Ray House in Vinton.

Several VWC members joined many VS teachers and staff members in enjoying refreshments, making new acquaintances and catching up.

The VWC has been holding this reception for many years to welcome teachers and show their support for local education. The centerpiece used each year contains flowers as well as school supplies. Bev Fiebelkorn created the arrangment, which the club likes so much uses each year.
