News Blairstown man arrested on drug charges

Dennis Lee Rotter age 50 from Blairstown, Iowa was arrested on several drug related charges following the execution of a search warrant at his residence early Sunday morning.

Rotter was charged after a report of an anhydrous smell in Blairstown around 11 pm. Saturday night. Deputies responding to the area located the source of the smell at his residence.

A search warrant was obtained and a search done of the residence and area.

Rotter was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance a serious misdemeanor, Tax Stamp Violation a class D felony, Possession of Lithium a class D felony, Possession of Ethyl Ether a class D felony, and Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia a class D felony.

More charges are pending as the investigation continues.  Rotter is currently in the Benton County Jail on a $ 5,000.00 cash bond.
