It is that time of the year when the local cub scouts pack 47 and the boy scouts from troop 47 pass out bags to collect can goods and personal items for the local food bank. The empty bags will be delivered to your door this week and they ask you to fill them with can goods and place them outside your front door on Saturday morning Sept. 20, 2014 by 9 am when they will be around to collect them to take to the local food bank. All the food collected in Vinton will stay in Benton County to help those in need.
