Throughout the month, Vinton Today will be highlighting the artists, craftsmen, and vendors that will be featured at Boom-fest on August 30th. Laura Johnson is one of Boom-fest’s featured artists, and specializes in creating fine art wall portraits for her clients.
She says that what makes her unique is the attention to detail that goes into each and every piece of art she creates. They are designed specifically to fit their wall size and to mesh with their decor colors, while adding an impressive finish to the home. Drawing on her former experience in pencil art, painting, and chalk pastels, this Cedar Falls resident says that her inspiration comes from “the great old master painters and portrait artists.”
“I enjoy creating masterpieces that will last for generations. Everyone should have the chance to own a timeless portrait of their family or child.”
Come browse Laura’s work in addition to the dozens of other talented artists at Boom-fest on August 30th in the historic downtown district of Vinton.
