Today's events at the Benton County Fair include judging of horticulture, pantry and needlework/crafts, as well as the first livestock shows. 

The wine judging took place Wednesday morning, at Cobblestone Inn. 

Today's livestock shows include the open show for Quality Beef/Steer Heifer, the 4-H/FFA Meat Goat, Sheep and Poultry Shows, and judging of Cloverbuds.

A traditional Thursday highlight will be the crowning of the queen during opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. at the grandstands. The annual tribute to veterans takes place before the introduction of the new Fair Queen and Princess.
