The Wamac West Art Fair returns to Vinton this year, as Vinton-Shellsburg High School artists will compete in several categories with the students from the other seven conference schools
Local residents have an opportunity to view the students' work this year, because the event has returned to Vinton.
The students will come on Wednesday, April 16, to the gym at the Iowa Braille School campus. VSHS art teachers Chris Juhl and Ann Diedrichsen are planning to hold public viewing hours on Tuesday, April 15.
The VSHS art program has done very well in recent years; the school has won at least four consecutive "Best of Show" in 3D works, as well as many other honors, including several first place awards.
This is the only competition for high school art students each year.
