On Saturday, August 7, we will be conducting our first ever bicycle Poker Run on the Old Creamery Nature Trail.
The event is open to anyone and will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We are asking a donation or registration fee of $10 per person to participate.
Anyone who wishes to donate $25 or more will receive an Old Creamery Nature Trail t-shirt. Registration is available the day of the event.
We will have five station set up along the 14 mile trail. One in Vinton, one in Garrison, one in Dysart, one between Vinton and Garrison, and one between Garrison and Dysart.
Participants can choose to either ride the entire trail (28.5 miles total) for two full poker hands (no combining hands though!) or join the event at any of the three stations to ride to 2 other stations for an approximate 14 mile round trip and one playing hand.
The grand prize for the best poker hand will be a "Classic" bicycle donated by Mr. Russ Grimm, who also runs Copper Beech in Dysart.
We also have others prizes that are being donated as well as station sponsors who will hand out items along the way.
Please contact me if you would like any additional information on the trail or this event. You can find information on our web site: www.OldCreameryNatureTrail.com or follow us on Facebook under "Old Creamery Nature Trail". We are hoping for a large turnout and a great time!
