Ambulance crews from Vinton and Van Horne, the Van Horne Fire Department and the Benton County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a car-semi accident in Van Horne Monday morning. 

But everyone in both vehicles escaped injury. The North Benton Ambulance Service in Vinton was called to assist because the women in the car were reporting chest pain after the accident. But the ambulance returned back to base shortly after arriving at the scene. 

"Anytime it involves a car and a semi, people get excited and understandably so," said Deputy Mike Ferguson. 

The accident, which took place at the corner of First Avenue and Seventh Street in  Van Horne, remains under investigation.
