Kirkwood Community College recently celebrated the graduation of more than 1,800 college credit students. The accomplishments were marked with annual commencement ceremonies held Saturday, May 15, 2010at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.

This graduating class marked the 44th full year of service for the college. The graduates included students from 77 Iowa counties, 14 other states in the U.S.and 22 other nations. Kirkwood grads were also a diverse group in age, ranging from 18 to 63 years on commencement day.

Kirkwood Community College awards Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Associate of Arts/Career Option (AACO), Associate of Science/Career Option (ASCO) and Associate of Science (AS) degrees, as well as diplomas and certificates for other programs of study.
