News : PepsiCo/Quaker employees donate $85,000 to EI Honor Flight

Quaker/PepsiCo employees have donated $85,000 for the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight.

Today Eastern Iowa Honor Flight accepted a check from the employees of PepsiCo/Quaker Co in the amount of $85,000.

This was a fund raising campaign devised and implemented by the Valor Group at Quaker.

This group is comprised of veterans who involved all Quaker employees and retirees in the fundraising. PepsiCo/Quaker is the sponsor of the September 10, 2013 flight.

Their enthusiasm in taking on this operation was something to behold.

The objective: To make sure as many veterans as possible get the opportunity to travel to Washington, DC to see the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.
