Middle School FFA Members Learn About FFA and Opportunities Ahead!

A Perfect Saturday at the Vinton Car Cruise: Classic Cars, Chrome, and Community

And if you DID decide to use the largest skillet in Iowa, how much could it hold? It would hold about 44 dozen eggs, or 176 pounds of ham, or 88 pounds of bacon laid out inside.All of this talk about breakfast foods it begs another question.

Benton County Community Foundation’s Grant Deadline is Oct. 15

 Sept. 23, 2024 – The deadline to submit grant applications to the Benton County Community Foundation’s 2024 grant cycle is 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 15.The online grant application can be found on the Community Foundation’s website at www.bentonccf.org.  Grants are awarded to projects within the program areas of arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, health and human service.

ITC Midwest conducting aerial patrols of transmission lines

ITC Midwest announced that it will be conducting aerial patrols of high-voltage transmission structures and lines throughout its service territory from approximately September 23 – October 1, weather permitting. Helicopter patrols provide an overall status of the overhead transmission system owned and operated by ITC Midwest.The flights taking place across our area of the ITC Midwest service territory include the Central Zone.
