The PRZ (Peer Recovery Zone) is a place for adults living with mental illness. Simply put, this is a fun and safe place to come and socialize with but also gain support from peers.
Sometimes we play games, cards, and do fun activities and crafts. We discuss improving both physical and emotional health and self-help activities and other resources available through our community. Mostly we enjoy each other’s company and conversation. After all this a support for and about YOU!
People will be at varying degrees of recovery and have a variety of challenges, and so I aim to accommodate the specific wants, needs, and goals of those in attendance.
Our location is currently at the ASAC center in Vinton on Friday's from 8 am to 12 pm. We are a non- profit organization who has peer support groups for adult individuals with mental illness
