By Iowa Developmental Disabilities CouncilOn Thursday, March 9, with representatives from the Iowa Developmental Disabilities Council, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Disability Rights Iowa, and disability advocates from across the state looking on, the Iowa House of Representatives passed a resolution designating March as Disabilities Awareness Month—the first resolution of its kind in Iowa.

-The Iowa Cancer Registry has released the following report from the University of Iowa. The report tracks the trends in the state and shows that Iowa has the second-highest rate of cancer in the country with only Kentucky reporting higher incidents.
