Health and Fitness : LIVE HEALTHY IOWA OPENS REGISTRATION FOR 20TH ANNIVERSARY CHALLENGE

Live Healthy Iowa's 10 Week Wellness Challenge, proudly sponsored by Iowa Food & Family Project, has opened registration for its 20th year. The Challenge, slated for January 11-March 19, 2021, encourages Iowans to make healthy choices through a fun, friendly competition.

The challenge is simple and affordable at just $22 per participant. Over the course of 10 weeks, teams (2-10 people) track activity minutes and/or weight loss through Live Healthy Iowa's website or mobile app. All those taking part will receive an official 10 Week Wellness Challenge T-shirt, a complimentary subscription to Fresh Pickings magazine, exclusive resources, and chances to win team and individual prizes! Challenge participants will have unlimited access to wellness content on Live Healthy Iowa's website and a personal online dashboard to track progress, connect with teammates, set goals, and much more.

Challenge participants also receive a 50 percent discount on registration for the annual Live Healthy Iowa 5K, scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2021. More than 10 Iowa communities have already committed to host the 5K event as a celebratory conclusion to the 10 Week Wellness Challenge, a goal-setting opportunity for challenge participants, and a way to support local wellness efforts.

Additionally, Live Healthy Iowa is offering three weeks of bonus resources to all who register for the 10 Week Wellness Challenge by December 20. These resources, delivered by email, will include uplifting and engaging topics to help manage end-of-the-year stresses and prepare for a successful challenge.
