Virginia Gay Hospital Health Care Foundation is seeking health and safety-related businesses and organizations to share their expertise on healthy lifestyle topics with our community. The Sixth Annual Benton County Community Health and Wellness Fair will be held from 8 am to noon on Saturday, April 4, at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School.

Plans for the 2020 event include a variety of activities designed to showcase all the health-related resources available to residents in Benton County. The diverse offering includes traditional health and wellness topics like nutrition and exercise, as well as mental health and financial wealth. This year, fair organizers are pleased to introduce a unique opportunity called "Healthy Heroes." Through a partnership with the Benton County American Legion & Auxiliaries and the VFW 8884 & Auxiliary, we will be offering services and activities exclusively for area veterans.

Last year, individuals and families enjoyed over 60 different displays from exhibitors throughout Iowa. Exhibitors who have already committed to this year's event include the Benton County Sheriff, HomeInstead Senior Care, Unity Point, and Creating the New U. Visitors to the fair can look forward to a new financial health highlight for this year as Farmers Savings Bank and Carson Wealth have signed on as premier sponsors. This event is fun for all ages and is free to the public.

Exhibitor space is limited for this event. Health, wellness, and safety-related businesses and organizations interested in reserving booth space should do so before March 6. Registrations can be completed online by visiting www.bentoncohealthfair.com/contact. Questions concerning the event should be directed to Robin Martin at the Virginia Gay Hospital Health Care Foundation by phone at 319-472-6375 or by email at rmartin@vghinc.com
