LET’S MAKE CONNECTIONS! We invite exhibitors to take advantage of this opportunity as Virginia Gay Hospital Health Care Foundation hosts the Fifth Annual Community Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School. This year’s theme is “Make HEALTHY Connections!” Our focus is to empower our community as advocates of their health and well-being. We want to promote and encourage connections that will have a positive impact on their lives and raise awareness of all the resources available in Benton County. This event showcases health, wellness & safety topics that are of local interest. Over the last five years, hundreds of people have attended and taken advantage of complementary resources, training, nutrition/fitness education, health services and testing provided by our exhibitors. We’d love to have you join us and help make healthy connections within our community!

NEW ACTIVITIES! As the primary sponsor, Virginia Gay Hospital is working with an executive committee composed of area professionals in health, wellness, and safety-related business/organizations to plan and coordinate this event with a wide variety of activities intended to attract a diverse audience. Initial plans include a self-defense workshop, demonstration by Be The Change Group Fitness and much more!
NEW SPONSORSHIP LEVELS! Four levels of sponsorship are available to meet exhibitor's desired level of participation and support. CLICK HERE to view sponsorship packages.

NEW EVENT PROMOTION! In addition to using extensive local and social media resources, this year’s event will be publicized on Cedar Rapids country radio station, 98.1 KHAK including a live remote broadcast during the fair! Plus, check out the updated website, www.bentoncohealthfair.com! As the event gets closer, it will include promotional materials for sponsors to help with publicity as well as inform the public of all the great activities planned!

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES! Weather permitting, the venue for this event allows ample space for parking and outdoor activities. At past health fairs, we’ve offered super-size Jenga, Connect 4, kite flying and a very popular Human Foosball tourney. There are child safety seat checks and a display of fire trucks and emergency vehicles we fondly call “Things that Go Vroom.”

HEALTH SCREENINGS! Planning is still underway, but we know there will be numerous health screenings and lots of excellent health and wellness information. Blood typing and pressure checks have been very popular in the past.
