Health and Fitness : All-Day Alzheimer's Event

An All Day Alzheimer Awareness Event will take place Friday, September 30, from 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton. In honor of Alzheimer's Awareness month, come join the Vinton Lutheran Home, Windsor Manor, and Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab to honor those who once suffered or currently suffer from Alzheimer's Disease. Activities for the day: *Remembrance Walk- free will donation to participate(may walk at any time and for any length of time.) *Lantern Lift Off - Memory Lanterns will be available for purchase at the fairgrounds ( may be lit and released into the sky at any time.) *Alzheimer Awareness t-shirts will be available for purchase * Free Alzheimer/Dementia information will be available *All proceeds from this event will stay in our community.
