The City Council approved a land-use change for Elwick Bros. LLC a business owned by Mike Elwick.

The City of VInton has a zoning ordinance that allows for the review of construction and zoning changes within a two-mile radius of the Vinton city limits. Elwick Bros. LLC would like to begin the second phase of their subdivision over in the Stoney Arch area. This is outside the Vinton City Limits, however, review by the City Council is required to move forward. The Council approved and now Elwick can proceed to Benton County for finalization of the final plat. The council unanimously approved.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

"There will be a public hearing held by the Benton County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, August 4th at 9:15 a.m. in the Supervisor's Room, 2nd Floor, of the Benton County Courthouse to consider a request for permission approval for a non-agricultural land use on the following generally described property: A part of the Southwest One-Fourth (SW 1/4) of the Southeast One-Fourth (SE1/4)  in Section 22, T85N, R10, West of the 5th P.M.

The purpose of the request is to change the status of the approximate 26 acres to a non-agricultural use. Specifically: for a residential, thirteen (13) lot subdivision. 

You may appear if you so desire either in person or by agent or attorney, in opposition to or support of the proposed change of land use, or you may submit written comments."
