Based on the recommendations of the Benton County Board of Health, the Benton County Supervisors passed a motion today to keep all County facilities, including campgrounds, closed until further notice.

Therefore, all Benton County Conservation campgrounds will not be opening at this time. We will meet with the Supervisors on a weekly basis to assess the closures and continue to follow the recommendations of the County Board of Health.

Our parks remain open to foot traffic only. Patrons are allowed to hike, fish, canoe and recreate while implementing COVID-19 safety measures. We ask that visitors implement proper social distancing, increased hygiene practices, and other public health measures to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 consistent with guidance issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

All public shower houses, restrooms, cabins, shelters, playgrounds, offices and the nature center remain closed.
