Saturday, October 17, 2015 10am. Join the Prairie States Mushroom Club as we explore Rodgers Park for fall mushrooms. We will meet at the Nature Center, then car pool to the end of Rodgers Park Road to hunt for all kinds of fungi.

'Fields of Faith' event set for Wednesday at Union field in La Porte

The 4th Annual Flaughless 5K, a memorial event for U.S. Army soldier and Vinton native Dan Flaugh, is five days away and on track for meeting – and exceeding –  the fundraising goal of at least $10,000 for Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).
