The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce that a brand spankin’ new playground for Riverside Park has been funded and ordered… now all we have to do to make this playground a reality is to build it! Bringing neighbors and friends together to share in this Community Build Event can create positive individual experiences and a great sense of pride knowing you helped construct a new playspace for Vinton’s youth.

Tami Stark 7/30/18 For the past 9 years, a group of area core volunteers have organized and conducted a clean up project for the Benton County portion of the Cedar River, alternating the top portion and the bottom portion from year to year.

There will be a U.S. Service Academy Open House on Friday, August 10th. All Iowa students interested in applying to, or learning more about service academies are welcome to attend.
