March Community Meeting
·         Review- Meeting wasn’t very well attended, but from those that were there we got some really great suggestions on how to build a greater following and how to reach other youth in the community.

April– Alcohol Awareness Month
·         Theme- “Life’s too short to be wasted.”
·         Other Activities- prom box stickers, static clings, postcards to parents, church bulletins, Sticker Shock was a big success.
·         Display- at FSB in Vinton. Hope to also display in Chelsea Savings Bank early May.

Graduation Sign Campaign
·         Places- Where can we have them out? BP City Hall, and most of the places that were listed last year are still in support this year.
·         Ads- will be in local papers like last year, with locations to pick up the signs. We will also have flyers when people pick up the signs.
·         Businesses- We’re hoping to have businesses post the signs also, like last year.

Prescription Drug Drive- Elysia
·         Happening on Saturday, 4/26! Please take flyers to get the word out as much as possible!

Summer Youth Summit
·         Date- July 22 and 23
·         Planning Meetings- going well. The next meeting will be right after this coalition meeting and all are welcome to attend.
·         Advertising- we will run a couple of ads, looking at events at schools (post-proms, lunch booths, evening activities), hoping to get t-shirts and possibly have a Relay team.

      May Meeting
·         Place- Need a space- Greg Walston volunteered the ISU Extension office
·         NO FOOD AT THIS MEETING! Our grant funding has run dry until July, so you’ll have to pack a lunch this time.

      Marijuana 101
·         We covered some basic educational information on marijuana, some methods users use to hide the drugs, and reminded everyone that 4/20 was considered a ‘pot smokers holiday’ by many users.
